Why I was gone

So so so sorry for the delay. Things have been wild the last couple of weeks. I think I probably drove between Nevada and Boise three times in that limited time window. I had commercial work client drop offs, and lots of custom craft work. My time has also been limited from being sick. Just had to get over a quick fever to get back to being busy as regular. Wood burning has kicked up a lot from being in Meraki Studios and DST coffee both in Gardnerville Nevada. These two stores are challenging me to keep new and fresh wood burning designs coming regularly. I enjoy the process a lost I am just coming around to figuring out a better schedule and method to being featured in the shops.

What’s next

Everything. I’m looking to fill my time the next couple weeks before a vacation with more writing and creative idea thinking as well as looking for new clients. I’ve got a lot of people to reach out to, but if you, the beautifully kind soul who actually reads these then I would love to also be contacted by you and put that in my planning as well for business or creative needs.

My thoughts

I feel like I’m spreading myself very thin between being in three shops for wood burning, finishing up even more video projects, and looking to take on much more creative work. I’m still trying to travel just as much, but reality is hitting. I need to be finding jobs on the road to be able to keep this up and start saving for future endeavors and vacations.

I realize wanting to do it all is a good want. I just need to take things out one at a time instead of 10% of everything all at once. I want to be able to make very high quality products and I feel that I need to keep putting in more time to tasks to make what I like. Wood burning seemed like a chore instead of my craft which is okay. I’d just rather be making more select art and take time on it than mass produce little pieces. With all this said, little pieces still are what I need.

I do really want to make a push for my instagram and youtube. I can do all the great things I want to, but if no one sees them or hears about it then I’ll only ever be working on the same level that I’m working on currently. I’d like to really up the production level and fast. That’s always the struggle and being sick I think I’ve just had too much time to think it over lately and am overly motivated for what resources I have and need to kick things back up one step at a time.

Last note

With all this my next couple of projects will be a mix of personal and business. I’m traveling around a good bit in the next month with lots of time I would be video taping. With that said I just need to make a schedule to edit around. I am looking to start the youtube before the new year and also have a short film to write and start pre-production on. I’m going to keep my next goals within things I’ve already been doing to nail them down. I’m trying to make these blog posts once a week. I’ll say it now that I plan it to be every Wednesday at 4pm ( I get that today’s a Friday). The last goal will be to keep up with my wood burning and make sure the people who want them are satisfied and that I’m happy with the art I’m putting out there.
