Would You Look at That... I procrastinated (whoops)

Is Procrastination Better than Tax Inflation?

The plan was

So that whole post every Wednesday at 5pm did not work the first week. I got so caught up in enjoying myself and meeting up with old friends that I kind of got side tracked and let the week go by way too fast. I wanted to post once a week to keep my creating and writing in some form. Fortunately I did write a short story in that time. Although I didn’t have it up for you guys to read. All four of you. Yes I checked the analytics I know there’s four of you now, and thank you to those four people, one in the U.S. and one in Norway. I don’t know how you found me person on the internet in Norway, but thank you for reading. Anyways I will try to be on here more to satisfy the four of you and keep up with my promises. I also will get that short story edited because you all probably know It'll have plenty of grammar mistakes.

Why I Was Missing Wednesday at 5pm

I was traveling between Boise, Portland and Nevada last week. Got to walk around in five different states in the course of 6 days which was pretty awesome. I went up to Boise to be with my good friends, deliver files and because I like it up there. Then to Portland and Vancouver, Washington. I went there to visit my sister and her boyfriend and take a step back from wood burning. I didn’t want to get in a creative slump so I decided to adventure a little to reload and get back to creating for the sake of the art I was making instead of the sale of it. I can honestly say I’m in a much better creative space now and even came up with some more projects and designs. Through all this traveling I could have posted a blog because I was at a lot of coffee shops on my laptop, but I didn’t and that’s my bad. To anyone looking to hire me and reading this, please don’t take this as a concern. It was not something I viewed as life or death. Also, to any of my four readers I hope you weren’t waiting by your laptop screens for the blog to come out because then I’d feel really bad. I just missed it taking some time to reorganize some priorities and let myself explore.

What I Learned From Procrastinating My Posting

I could have taken the post down that said I’d post once a week or even just change it to telling you all that I’d post once every two weeks. That way this post would in fact be early not late. Instead I’m leaving it up and letting you all know about my creative flops and faults. I started this blog to act as a sort of journal for myself and try to keep myself accountable now that I don’t have due dates or assignments. I don’t want this post to be taken super seriously or anyone think that I’m very upset I didn’t post last Wednesday. It’s just something I missed and want to get consistent for my own sake kind of, just because.

Overall I learned from that, these expectations I’m setting on myself are mine alone and I can push myself or relax as much as I want to. I’ll be the only one as of now that will truly benefit or hurt from not following through with these.

I also learned that I have someone from Norway that read my last post. How cool is that. Thank you Norwegian for being awesome and finding me out. All the American readers probably stumbled upon the blog in a cool way too, but It’s more rare that someone from another country would find it, so until I can get over a hundred readers from America (Like That’ll Happen) I’m going to call the Norwegian person out for being awesome.

If anyone has a cool or funny way they came across the blog comment it or email me it and I’ll probably talk about it next week. Wednesday at 5pm. Also I’m going to start sharing my blogs on social media and hopefully if you like them, you’ll share them too.

Thanks for reading and go create something.
