It's Wednesday My Dudes - Aeaaahhhhhhhh
Moo Bit*h Get Out the Way
If you don’t know where the title of this post came from, just search it in youtube. You’ll either laugh or think I’m super weird for thinking it’s funny.
Work
To recap the last week, a lot of cool stuff happened. I was able to make a video project for DST Coffee for thanksgiving, I took on another photo shoot, I’ve been woodburning like crazy to keep up with Christmas gifts, and lastly I’ve been writing again.
Starting with wood burning I’ve started to get more people interested and even have some people out of state I can ship to which is a cool step in my business. Thank you, and you know who you are. Also to all my Nevada/Boise/Oregon people. I am so grateful for your repeat business and support. Things kicked up the start of this winter much better than they did last winter. I am also enjoying the custom projects and working with all of you as well to make what you want.
Photography has been swell. I am getting some exciting business opportunities from some other great artists in the Reno Tahoe area. I won’t say too much besides sharing the excitement of future collaborations. I am happy that this facet of my business is picking up as well, but on top of that it’s just the more creative people I’m talking to, the more I enjoy it. Also have been filtering through and using my grandads film camera the last two weeks and I’m very excited to develop the film. I’ll be making a film folder on my website soon to share with all of you. Lastly the fog is insane and very aesthetic. I found some cows yesterday that I got to snap some portraits of and can’t wait to share those as well.
Myself.
Not much to say here because I’m so boring and average…
PSYCH.
I’ve been really happy with what I’ve been doing and getting the opportunities to keep doing what I love is great. I’m realizing how much of an atypical life I’m pursuing and coming into a hopefully great business trip to SoCal next month I can’t help but feeling good about myself and the direction I’m headed. I think everyones support in me lately and surrounding myself with other creatives, family, and positive people really makes me my best self. Looking forward to keeping this mood coming into 2020 and only looking for the highs.
Also, I’m not afraid to say it. I’m hot AF. Just kidding, but I have been feeling like all this Is making me more confident in my looks and how I’m carrying myself with people on the daily.
Upcoming
I realize this blog might not have been the best teaching moment, but I hope it was at least fun to read. I just wanted to share my triumphs since last week. If you were unimpressed with my post last Wednesday its okay.. so was I. I was kind of in a funk and had to turn that around quickly. Everyone gets in creative funks and can’t always come up with their best stuff, but in the future everyone should be looking to get out of their ruts and make the turn time, from feeling down into Hot to Trot, as quick as possible.
Instead of waiting for New Years to start my resolutions I’ll put it out now that I want to as least triple my income from 2019 in 2020. I also want to spend more of my time segmented where I know when I need to work and when I can relax. This last year I’d be half working and half watching a movie with friends or family. I’d rather work hard for the day and take the night off than wake up slow and half-ass work all day long and into the night. I’m giving these because I don’t think resolutions should be changed immediately as of January first. I think these goals are more habit changes and I’m working now to set myself up so that I don’t lag going into the business year of 2020. I also just don’t see why I should wait to improve myself.
I have many smaller goals I just wanted to share these main ones. Thank you all for reading, hopefully I made it this far and please leave comments about your goals or how the blog can be improved!
PSST
(Yes all projects mentioned in all my blogs are still in the works. Photo-Lyric book, stock footage, youtube channel, scripts-short& long, steadicam lessons, small business collaboration and more) Just because I didn’t mention it doesn’t mean I forgot about it. Alway working on multiple things or at least keeping them on my mind to make sure I am pushing myself.
