Wrapping (Not presents or hip hop)
Life after sets
Just after finishing working my first feature I discuss what I’m up to now that I’m back.
The film wrapped great and it was such a pleasure to be a part of! I just finished first ACing for the film “Making Sense” that was shot in Idaho. Everyone on the set and involved was very positive and it was a great experience. Wrapping was nice, after the three weeks of filming I’m glad to have that experience, but also have time to step back a little bit and work on my projects. I traveled back to Nevada yesterday and already I’m back in DST coffee editing videos. Also plugging them a little bit, but they just had their two year shop reunion and I bought a tall traveler mug because it’s amazing. Wrapping is also funny in a way because technically I’m unemployed as far as film work goes. Yes I’m always freelancing and have some gigs coming up, but its funny to be working so hard for three weeks to having the full day to relax. I’m not taking this as a break though because I’m just going to have to keep searching out clients and more opportunities.
This leads me to my next projects. If anyone needs photos wood burnings or video work, I’m around and have a new toy for the time being I want to practice with. Send an email! I also am looking for steadicam training if anyone knows any operators in the Pacific Northwest Area or even down around LA, please send an email so I can try to connect.
I’m finally drafting and moving forward with my photo book, but I’m not giving away too much information just yet. I need to reach out to a lot of people before this can happen. I’ll be setting up my photos and making pitches soon I hope. I also will begin my youtube channel in the month of October. I’ll make sure to link it on the website and upload videos here too. I’m just happy to be doing creative things and moving forward with these kinds of projects. I will also be sitting down with one of my video clients who is trading with me to give a private business legal session. So I hope I’ll be able to share some information and give a post all about paperwork and legal advice I get from her.
Check out some pictures of me on set as well that I’ll get up on the website soon!
Thank you to everyone who reads these. Yes I know I’m not making these all literature masterpieces, but I’m just trying to share things as my journey comes along and what helps me or what I learn.
Lastly, I want to start writing at the end of each post; something new I’ve learned, a positive experience since the last post, a new project, and a completed project.
Hope all your projects and endeavors are coming along!
